Previous Events
From the those of the 1st Laón-Laón, the Laón-Laón: 2nd Forum on Music Research Centers in Asia saw the participation of two more institutions: the Archives of Traditional Music in Laos (Ms. Kongdeuane Nettavong) and the Sarawak Museum (Mr. Beddie Frank), bringing the number of fialogue partners to 13. This includes the Paññãsãstra University, the LembagaPendidikanSeni Nusantara and the Pusat Penelitiandan Pengembangan Pendidikan Seni Tradisional from Indonesia, the National Museum of Ethnology (MINPAKU) from Japan, the Music Research Department of the National Gugak Center (formerly known as the National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts) in Korea, the Music Digital Archives Center from the National Taiwan Normal University, the College of Music from Mahidol University and the Mahasarakham University in Thailand, the Hoi Van Nghedangian Viet Nam Assiciation of Vietnamese Folklorists, Sonic Asia Music Consultants in Singapore, and the UP Center for Ethnomusicology.
